Around lunchtime we got caught in a wicked thunderstorm
Things cleared up pretty quick and we went right back to catching football sized fish.
That fish closed out the day. Not incredible numbers but enough to keep us happy and the size was above average. Things are starting to change around here...nights are getting cooler, the first few salmon have hit the lower rivers along with some stray summer steelhead, and over all a hint of fall can now be felt in the morning and evening air. More than likely we'll get out for smallmouth another time or two but soon our focus will be lake run fish, pre-spawn browns, and in less than one month....grouse and woodcock!
